GBBF (Great British Beer Festival)

Organised annually by CAMRA, the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) has celebrated 30 years of being Britain's biggest and best beer festival.
GBBF is styled as the "biggest pub in the world" and offers over 800 different real ales, ciders and foreign beers for the expected 50,000 crowd to try. This fun event is not all about the beer though. There are a variety of different foods from around the world and music to enjoy. This event really is a beer drinker's paradise! The festival is completely staffed by unpaid volunteers, around 1000 of whom work at the festival helping to create a carnival atmosphere.
The festival is usually held in London during the first full week in August and runs from Tuesday to Saturday. The Tuesday afternoon session is only open to the trade and press, with the Champion Beer Of Britain award winners being announced mid-afternoon. The general public are admitted to afternoon and evening sessions from Tuesday evening until Saturday evening.
The Great British Beer Festival 2013 runs from 13th-17th August and the venue is, once again, the London Olympia.
