Wigan CAMRA appreciates the efforts of the local real-ale community, particularly the pubs and breweries. In recognition of these efforts, Wigan CAMRA provides awards on a regular basis.

A 'Pub of the Season' is chosen on a quarterly basis. The 4 winners of the Pub of the Season' are then considered for 'Pub of the Year' - the most prestigious award of any CAMRA Branch.

Wigan CAMRA also recognises the efforts of not just local pubs but other drinking establishments that are going out-of-their-way to promote and support the real-ale revolution. As such, we are proud to provide a 'Club of the Year' award.

Wigan CAMRA are also keen to provide support and encouragement for fledgling pubs and clubs that are taking their first strides into real ale. As such, a 'Best New Cask Outlet' award is provided for both pubs and clubs on an annual basis.

Other awards presented by Wigan CAMRA include a 'Commitment to Real Ale Award'.
